1. Touring the President’s house

Guided tours of Aras an Uachtaráin happen every Saturday and take one hour. These tours are free of charge and operate on a first-come-first-served basis. However, due to state business sometimes these tours do not run so always check the website before you go.

 

2. The National Museum

The National Museum hosts a wonderful collection of Celtic and medieval treasures from the Bronze Age, artefacts from the Vikings and even an Ancient Egypt exhibit. The museum has a range of events on this weekend, details of which can be found on the website here.

 

3. Irish Museum of Modern Art

What was once a former hospital is now the leading Irish modern art gallery. Once you have finished viewing their stunning collection, you can take a walk in the beautiful surrounding gardens.

 

4. The Science Gallery

A hands-on and interactive experience, The Science Gallery exhibition combines art and science to unleash their combined creative potential. The gallery is located on Pearse Street, in the heart of Dublin.

 

5. Natural History Museum

Known as ‘The Dead Zoo’, The Natural History Museum has barely changed since it opened its doors in 1857. With 10,000 exhibits of animals from all over the world, this weird but wonderful attraction is not to be missed.
