JS Detailed Date List: This date list (orange) went home in school bags yesterday. It will be updated twice a term and will also be on the college website.

Extra- curricular Activities

These activities started this week. Mairead Wales’s tennis students will be brought back over to the JS for pick up or After Care. There are no more places left in Rock Jam.

Music Lessons: The music teachers will meet up with their students over this week and next week.

Dance Class: Starts Wed. 13th Sept.

J1 and J2 have their dance class during the school day.

J3/J4 – 3.00-3.45pm (Optional)

J5/6- 3.45-4.30pm (Optional)

After Care: Please be sure to tell Mrs. Davis when you pick up your child from After Care.

Lost Property: Believe it or not, we have lost items already! If your child’s name is on the item, it is returned right away. Unfortunately, many students do not have their names on their belongings.

Important Reminder: No dogs are allowed on the school grounds. The signs are all around the campus.

Junior School Orchestra (J2-J6)

Any student in J2-J6 may join the JS orchestra. This year, Ms. O’Rourke will lead it. Orchestra practice will take place on Tuesdays at 12.35pm in the JS Gym. The girls will eat their lunch and then go straight to practice. Ms. O’Rourke will speak to all the girls about orchestra in assembly next week.

Beginning of Year Service

All of our students in J4, J5 and J6 attended the beginning of year service in Sandford Church on Wednesday morning. Rev’d Sonia Gyles welcomed everyone back and wished us all the very best for the school year. Students and teachers led the prayers and readings and it was a really important school community event.

J6 Assembly

In the Junior School, we have an assembly every morning at 8.45am. On Fridays, classes get a turn to lead assembly. Ms. Stapleton’s J6 students started this week by acting out a funny poem called “ My Teacher’s Going Crazy!” Well done, girls!
