Another school year about to begin and this year we will be working on the Digital Creator course with Transition Year students for the second year running. Last year was very successful but being early adapters in Alexandra College, we were always going to run into problems with the Digital Creator course – not with the course itself but with such teaching issues as timing, grading, homework etc.

However, this year we are extending out Digital Creator so that at least two modules will be taught through the mainstream curriculum: Unit A (Digital Audio) will become part of Mr Murray’s Music Technology course, Unit H (Sharing Using Multimedia Presentations) will become part of Dr Byrne’s Science course and Unit E (Storytelling With Animation) will provide the course work for the Digital Animation course.

Beyond that, all students will study units B, C, F and G in their twice-weekly ICT classes. They will also be encouraged to complete other units outside of class time.
