In our Junior School all the girls are divided into ten ‘family groups’. Each group comprises of 4 –12 year olds with its own chosen name based on the whole school theme of the year.
The aim of the groups is to promote, encourage cooperative and interactive learning. The girls learn to express their own ideas, to have respect and patience – all essential qualities to carry them through life. Great emphasis is put on exploring, recording, experimenting with language, formulation and exchange of ideas in the groups.
The older girls are given a leadership role and develop an awareness of being responsible for younger children so enhancing their self- esteem.
