1. Alex 150: Junior School Celebrates Founders Day

Every year Alexandra College marks Founders Day throughout the school and this year was very special as the College marked its 150th birthday. The Junior School created poems, videos and songs about what makes Alex so special to them. You can check out one of the poems on the website here.


2. Intel Mini Scientist + Science Week

The Junior School celebrated Science Week and entered the Intel Mini Scientist Exhibition in the same week! This was very exciting for the girls who all put such great effort into their projects. Belle Moore was the overall winner who then went onto compete in the Grand Final of the Intel Mini Scientist Competition in the Helix, DCU.

3. Our 2016 Christmas Musicals

The Junior School girls performed their Christmas musicals for their parents and extended family. The girls took part in two musicals and both were full of energy with amazing talent.

4. Father/Daughter Pancake Breakfast and Celebrating Book Week

Dads, uncles, brothers and granddads all came together for this year’s Father/Daughter Pancake Breakfast. All the money raised from this event went to the Alexandra Bursary Fund.

World Book Week is always an exciting time for the girls in the Junior School and this year they celebrated with a range of different events in the school. On World Book Day, the girls and teachers all dressed up as their favourite book character.

5. Seachtain na Gaeilge

The school held a range of different activities to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge. A quiz in Irish, Céilí Mór and performances by the Junior School Orchestra and the Senior School Trad Group were all held to celebrate the Irish language. Click here to see photos from these celebrations.


6. Bizworld

The girls became Entrepreneurs and took part in Bizworld. They were responsible for coming up with a new product or service, communicating its benefits and acquiring an investment in order to develop and market it. The girls presented their projects to a group of business people and looked for an investor to help them sell their products. One of the business ideas went on to the Bizworld regional final held in Trinity College.

7. Sports Day 2017

The sun shone brightly as all the Junior School girls and teachers made their way over to the field for our annual Sports Day. You can see all the photos from this day using this link.
