Christmas began in Res on Thursday the 13th when we began by decorating the Boarding House, but particularly the Reception area. That evening we went to St. Philip’s Church for their Christmas Concert and sing-along. This was a lovely start to the Christmas celebrations.

On Friday evening we were bussed in to City Centre to view the Cleary’s windows. From there we proceeded to Grafton Street, to enjoy the lights and soak up the atmosphere. We had hot chocolate and ice-cream, and indulged in some retail therapy.

Then, on Saturday our intrepid shoppers travelled back in to Grafton Street again, despite the horrendous weather conditions. Once again, shopping, and hot chocolate and donuts were the order of the day. That evening, after dinner, the girls had an impromptu disco in the Gymnasium.

A wonderful time was had by all, and the girls retreated to bed tired, but happy. A huge thank you the some of the 6th year girls for organising the event just before the holidays. And some of the girls also attended the Civic Carol Service in St. Ann’s on Sunday evening. See you girls all back in the New Year! We hope you enjoy a well deserved holiday!
