Let There Be Song!

The Junior School will be recording its own special music CD next Wednesday, May 8th. The CD will be available to purchase at the beginning of the next school term in August. Details on how to buy a copy of the CD will be sent out to you shortly. We ran an art competition for the cover  – well done to Ella Rose McElligott (J3R) for her winning cover and also well done to Ms. Fitzgerald for coming up with the winning title – Let There Be Song!

Be a Dancer for Cancer!

Today FM has launched its Dare to Care campaign in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and this year, the station asked people around Ireland to ‘Be a Dancer for Cancer’ with the goal of raising €500,000. Our Student Council organised this event for us in Alex. We gathered at 11am and had the whole school dancing together.

It was great fun and all for a great cause. We raised €655 for the Irish Cancer Society – thank you for your support.

J2R Assembly on Making Good Choices and Decisions

On Friday, 3rd May, J2R performed an assembly on making good choices and decisions. Each girl spoke about different types of decisions and advised that you should always talk to a parent or teacher if you are unsure about what to do in a situation. The girls also showed their colourful and creative posters which highlighted the many aspects to making good decisions. The assembly finished with a prayer which the class had written together. Well done, J2R!
