Easter Cake Sale – Friday, April 12th – 1.30pm in JS Gym
It is a long-standing tradition that on the day before the Easter holidays, JACA runs a Cake Sale as a fundraiser for the Junior School. The girls love this event! The J6 set up and sell all the goodies on the day. This year, the Cake Sale will take place on Friday, April 12th in the JS Gym at 1.30pm. Tea/coffee will be available too. A competition will be held for the Star Baker Dad and Star Baker Mum – so get baking! Please drop your cakes into the gym on the Friday morning. You are all very welcome to join us.
Easter Egg Raffle
Tickets will go on sale for the Easter Egg raffle on Tuesday, April 9th to Thursday, April 11th. The raffle will take place on Friday, April 12th during assembly.
Easter Bonnet/Hat Competition – Friday, April 12th
This year, we are asking the girls to create a head piece with an Easter theme – it can be a bonnet, cap, hairband etc. The girls can re-use an old hat, decorate it and then wear it in on the day of the Easter Cake Sale, Friday, April 12th. One winner will be picked from each class on the day.
AIJS Athletics 2019
We had a group of 28 athletes from J4/4/6 who represented Alex at the annual AIJS athletics at Irishtown Stadium on Wednesday, April 3rd. Despite the cold and wet weather, the girls performed very well and came back to us with lots of medals. Well done, girls!
Welcome to Alex International!
If you are new to Dublin, whether from overseas or returning to Ireland after living elsewhere, we offer Alexandra College parents a warm welcome to join us for an informal monthly gathering at Wilde & Greene.
Launched in 2018 by myself, and a few other parents who had recently arrived in Dublin and were experiencing similar challenges in navigating the geography of the city and the logistics of settling our families in our new environment, the idea of Alex International was born.
As Alexandra College continues to welcome more international families to the school, our aim is to provide an opportunity to build new friendships and support each other as we embark on our new adventures in Dublin.
Please join us at our next coffee, 8.45am on Thursday 16th May at Wilde and Greene.
(Dates for the new academic year will be published in the new term).
