Only 12 more sleeps to the opening night of ‘Made in Dagenham’, don’t forget to book your tickets on Monday!!

Our Transition year musical is ‘Made in Dagenham’’ by Richard Bean will take place on the 23rd and 24th of January 2019 in the Henrietta White Centre in Alexandra College at 7.30pm.

The musical ‘Made in Dagenham’ is set in the 1960s at the Ford factory in Dagenham.  It is based on the true story of the strike of the Ford sewing machinists in 1968. The main character, Rita O’Grady who is played by our very own Carla Moran, speaks up and fights for equal pay for women.  It is an inspiring musical about the struggle of being a woman at this time.

In this musical we are lucky to have nine boys from Gonzaga College performing, both schools are very excited for the musical and can’t wait to come along and see it.  There will also be a number of our first, second and fifth year students performing in the musical and everyone’s favourite teacher Mr Friel will also be playing a cameo role as Mr Buckton the Latin teacher.

Make sure to come alone and support your friends as they perform on stage.
Tickets go on sale at Monday during both lunches.
€15 for Adults and €10 for Students.
