Two Nights in Dagenham!
The TY musical ‘Made in Dagenham’ took place on 23 and 24 January, and played to a sold out audience in the Henrietta White Centre throughout its two-day run!
This very funny and touching musical set in 1960’s recounts the women’s strike at the Ford Dagenham plant that led to the UK’s Equal Pay Act 1970. Stellar performances by students from Alexandra College, with very special guests from Gonzaga College and a fantastic cameo by very our own Mr Friel.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported our TY Musical ‘Made in Dagenham’ last night and Wednesday, and our TY students for all their hard work. Also, a special thank you to Minister Josepha Madigan (Minister for Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht) for coming to speak to the students and show her support.
The TY musical was made possible by Ms. Brehony, Ms. Rycraft, Mr. Barrett, the Music Department, and all the students and staff that helped make this enjoyable experience such a resounding success.
